"Sourcing the finest Sitka Spruce tonewood for soundboards available
through sustainable forestry and responsible wood use.
Highest quality Sitka Spruce tonewood direct from the forest."

We would like to make it VERY clear that we salvage 99% of the material we process into Soundboard products. We try not to kill trees or purchase clear-cut trees to produce our products, as other soundboard producers do. We scour hundreds of sq. miles of the forest to locate dead and down trees to harvest for our products. We then purchase these trees from the USDA Forest Service and log them in whatever way is necessary, BUT in ways not detrimental to the forest. This includes cutting in the forest and hand packing or extremely expensive heli-logging. But the 1% we have to aquire elswhere, is the bearclaw.

I just can't find logs/trees to meet the demand for that feature without looking at more than a million bdft of large diameter sitka sawlog for the one log that will produce the fantastic bearclaw figured boards we are so well known for. You could say I rescue those couple logs from getting cut up into 2x4's at some mill in Asia. I do have a very small stash of bearclaw from salvaged floatlog.
